Quit smoking – Portsmouth Council
You’re four times more likely to quit smoking if you do it with help. There are a lot of free options available and you can choose the method that works best for you.
- Smokefree NHS Rest Kit offers sites, app, text messages and e-mails.
- Your local pharmacy can provide a free stop smoking plan and can help you in choosing the best products to help you decide and get away if you need them. Find your neighbor please.
- Portsmouth Service is a well-trained counselor to unemployed smokers who can offer free, friendly, non-judicial, and can help you develop a uniquely tailored quit plan. They work from venues across the city and provide one-to-one training, group sessions and drop-in clinics.
They offer a free carbon monoxide test and can stop smoking medication. Specialist assistance is available for pregnant women and those with mental health conditions. In the first year, the Wellbeing Service helped 856 people in Portsmouth quit smoking.
